The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Da Cunha shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Da Cunha was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Higgins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Da Cunha content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Oh Higgins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Da Cunha working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Higgins turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Da Cunha off and cradles Higgins's limp body as Da Cunha celebrates with his corner.
