The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Manson drops an elbow to the side of Vaughan's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vaughan tries to roll over but Manson keeps him under control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Manson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round but I would say that Reginald Manson will probably get the nod.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Vaughan working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Vaughan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Vaughan stalks Manson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Manson's face. Manson staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Vaughan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Manson's guard.
