Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Doni Gringo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danny Green is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doni Gringo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Green!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gringo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Green tries to keep at a distance but Gringo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Green is looking to control Gringo's arms but Gringo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Green has his back to the cage.
Gringo stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Green is trying to maintain a safe position but Gringo gets an underhook and turns Green into the cage.

Gringo jumps into guard, dragging Green to the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Gringo dives in for a single leg takedown but Green sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Gringo has Green pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Green manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Green is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Danny Green.
Gringo lands a leg kick that knocks Green off balance momentarily.
Gringo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Green as he avoids it easily.
Gringo shoots in looking for a takedown but Green manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gringo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gringo is defended easily by Green.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Green wants to get up but he can't break Gringo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gringo throws a head kick but Green moves out of range.
Gringo shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Gringo closes the distance and pushes Green back into the cage.
Green is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Gringo is keeping busy.

Gringo is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Green tries to stall but Gringo uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Danny Green.
Gringo swings widly with a right hand
and Green counters with an inside leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gringo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Green tries to avoid it but Gringo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Green to the ground. Green escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gringo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Green checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Doni Gringo.
I think Gringo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
