Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barry Griffith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ponas Zefyras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zefyras tries to sprawl but Griffith drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Zefyras has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Griffith escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Griffith!

Griffith thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Zefyras tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Griffith presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Griffith takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Zefyras wants to control but Griffith is having none of it.
Zefyras wants to get back to his feet.

Griffith is working for a guillotine from mount but Zefyras frees his head quite easily.
Zefyras tries to hold on but Griffith pushes him away.

Griffith wants to finish this one by submission but Zefyras is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Griffith.
Griffith could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Zefyras takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Zefyras sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Zefyras tries to kick Griffith off but Griffith keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Zefyras wants to improve his position but Griffith is controlling well.

Zefyras doesn't manage to clinch there - Griffith circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Zefyras enables Griffith to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zefyras manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
