Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsuruki Tashiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tashiro has chosen Orn Base as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Snake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tsuruki Tashiro!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snake shoots in and drives through. Tashiro sprawls well.
Snake shoots for a takedown but Tashiro saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tashiro connects with a right hand. Snake shakes it off.
Tashiro getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Tashiro is looking to clinch.

Tashiro tries to sprawl but Snake drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Tashiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Snake is taking a breather. Tashiro says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tashiro tries to roll over but Snake keeps him under control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snake controlling the action here.
Snake is thwarting Tashiro's attempts to control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Snake shoots for a takedown but Tashiro saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Snake. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tashiro fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Snake has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Snake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tashiro is fending him off so far but Snake persists. Nope, Tashiro circles away and we're back to standing.
A slow jab from Tashiro misses its intended target.
Snake avoids a punch combination nicely.

Snake shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tashiro is trying to defend but Snake finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Snake frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Tashiro tries to hold on but Snake pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tashiro can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Snake takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Tashiro tries to reverse the position but Snake maintains control.

Snake swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Snake!
Tsuruki Tashiro was interviewed post fight and said 'I wouldn't wish a defeat on anyone. This feeling sucks. '.
