Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vaughn Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pera Vikic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pera Vikic will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Phillips drives through and clinches with Vikic against the cage.

Vikic works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Vikic trying to control but Phillips is working from the bottom.
Vikic looking to sit in guard and control but Phillips gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vikic is controlling Phillips's posture.
Phillips missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Vikic wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Pera Vikic has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Vikic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Phillips looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Vikic wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Phillips, who protects the arm well.

Vikic is trying to get an arm triangle but Phillips is defending well.

Vikic has hold of Phillips's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Phillips tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Vikic cranks the arm and Phillips screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Phillips, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
