Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnson Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Ruidrejo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Roberto Ruidrejo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruidrejo misses with a double jab.

Ruidrejo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ruidrejo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Wheeler tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Ruidrejo is trying to control the action in half guard but Wheeler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Ruidrejo is looking to take a break and control but Wheeler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wheeler is looking to escape.
Ruidrejo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wheeler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wheeler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ruidrejo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ruidrejo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wheeler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wheeler has his foot on Ruidrejo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ruidrejo works his way back into a safe position though.

Wheeler is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ruidrejo rolls with it to try and escape but Wheeler cranks on the arm and Ruidrejo is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
