Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adolf Ellenberger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Ring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellenberger comes to the cage accompanied by Soldier. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adolf Ellenberger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Ring!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ring throws a sloppy head kick
and Ellenberger counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ellenberger looks for the body kick but Ring saw that one coming.
Ring misses with a head kick.
Ring throws a lazy head kick
and Ellenberger cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ring tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ellenberger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've been informed that Ring has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Ellenberger swats away the attempt to clinch by Ring.

A clash of legs there as Ring blocks the low kick.
Jeremy Ring seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ring throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ellenberger uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ellenberger looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ellenberger throws a body punch but Ring moves out of range.

Ellenberger fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ring looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ring takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Ellenberger bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Ellenberger is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Ring with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ellenberger to score with a decent uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ellenberger throws a front kick aimed at Ring's knee but Ring avoids it well.
Ring wants to clinch up but Ellenberger keeps it at a distance.
Ring lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Ellenberger closes the distance and clinches.

With the fighters up against the cage, Ring throws an elbow but misses.

Ring escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ellenberger cracks Ring with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Ellenberger is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ring can do to turn this around?

Ellenberger throws out a loose jab but Ring uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ring drives through and clinches with Ellenberger against the cage.

Ellenberger misses with a hook from the clinch.
Ellenberger takes a shot to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ellenberger digs a right hand into Ring's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ring's gas tank.
Ring digs a right hand underneath Ellenberger's ribcage. Ellenberger let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Ring.
Ellenberger lands a good knee to the midsection. Ring won't want to take too many of those.
Ellenberger blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Ring lands an elbow inside that Ellenberger shrugs off.
Ring blocks an uppercut.
Ellenberger using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ring has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Ring jerks Ellenberger's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Ellenberger drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Ring goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Ring because Ellenberger was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Jeremy Ring!
A relieved looking Jeremy Ring thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
