And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawking doesn't manage to clinch there - Gonzalez circles away.

It looks like Daniel Gonzalez has been cut.

Gonzalez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gonzalez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gonzalez trying to control the position from guard on top but Hawking is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hawking is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hawking wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Gonzalez trying to control but Hawking is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hawking lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hawking avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hawking lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Hawking moves into range and clinches up with Gonzalez.
Gonzalez with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Gonzalez pulls guard successfully.

Hawking stopping the sweep attempt from Gonzalez.
Gonzalez is breathing heavily.
Hawking slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gonzalez is looking for a triangle but Hawking pushes his legs off easily.
Hawking has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gonzalez is proving hard to escape from.

Gonzalez looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hawking is defending well. Gonzalez quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hawking has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gonzalez celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
