The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Washington seems a little lost for a moment, as Hunter dominates the positioning.
Washington is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Washington sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Hunter lands with a punch from half guard.
Hunter performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunter's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Hunter prevents Washington from improving his position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Myrzin Hunter wasn't active enough on the ground.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Washington enables Hunter to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Washington manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Washington has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hunter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunter postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Washington covers up, he's hurt! Hunter keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Hunter and the ref steps in to end the fight! Hunter can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
