Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Sutton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Myrzin Hunts!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sutton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sutton lands in his opponent's guard.
Sutton won't allow Hunts to get back to his feet.

Sutton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hunts has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sutton has managed to get both his arms back between Hunts's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunts has an active guard here but Sutton has managed to pass into half guard.

Hunts might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sutton haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Myrzin Hunts wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sutton tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Hunts counters by clinching up.

Sutton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Myrzin Hunts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sutton keeps the fight on the outside.
Hunts closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hunts throws a head kick that misses.
Sutton moves in looking to clinch but Hunts pushes him off.

and Sutton counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sutton tries to circle away but Hunts has him pinned against the cage.

Sutton drags the fight down to the ground.
Hunts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sutton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hunts stopping the sweep attempt from Sutton.
Hunts would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hunts wants to stand and escape but instead Sutton has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Hunts is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sutton dives into side control.

Hunts shoots in looking for a takedown. Sutton tries to sprawl out of it but Hunts keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sutton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

enabling Sutton to counter with a crisp jab.
Hunts is looking to clinch but Sutton is avoiding it.

Hunts gets tackled into the cage by Sutton. Sutton maintains the clinch.

Hunts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hunts fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hunts closes the distance and clinches.
Hunts trying to control the position but instead, Sutton has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hunts into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jorge Sutton will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hunts throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Hunts fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sutton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hunts misses with a shot to the body
and Sutton counters with a straight right hand.
Hunts tries to clinch but Sutton is having none of it.

Sutton forces Hunts back against the cage and clinches.
Hunts is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Hunts breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sutton fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sutton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hunts forces Sutton back against the cage and clinches.

Sutton is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hunts is defending well.
Sutton is trying to force a seperation but Hunts has the dominant position.
Sutton wants to take the fight to the mat but Hunts manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Hunts tries to pull guard but Sutton won't allow it.
Hunts fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hunts is looking to take this one to the mat.
Sutton dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Hunts tries to break free but Sutton pushes him back against the cage.
Hunts is trying to drag Sutton to the mat but Sutton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jorge Sutton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Myrzin Hunts.

Sutton lands with a left to the head.
Hunts looking to slow down the pace here.

Sutton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Sutton seems keen to control Hunts's posture.
Hunts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sutton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hunts wants to control from the top but Sutton keeps moving.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sutton seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Myrzin Hunts.

Sutton rushes Hunts and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hunts tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sutton's elbow.
Hunts letting Sutton take a breather here.
Sutton tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hunts tries to pull guard but Sutton holds him up against the cage and eventually Hunts drops back down to his feet.

Hunts pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sutton has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hunts stops a takedown attempt from Sutton.

Hunts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hunts tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sutton swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sutton is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Sutton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hunts is fending him off so far but Sutton persists. Nope, Hunts circles away and we're back to standing.

Hunts shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sutton as he jumps to the side.
Hunts throws a sloppy head kick and Sutton moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jorge Sutton will probably get the nod.

Sutton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hunts defends it nicely.
Hunts lands a head kick. Sutton smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hunts throws a lazy uppercut

and Sutton counters with a takedown into side control.
Sutton gets to mount! Hunts was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Hunts working to try and regain half guard.
Hunts wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Sutton keeps control of the position easily here as Hunts tries to buck him off.
Hunts looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Jorge Sutton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sutton biding his time, looking for the opening.
You can see the frustration on Hunts's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Hunts trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Sutton has the hooks in. Hunts is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Sutton passes his arm under Hunts's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Hunts taps!
