Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Eliott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Queen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Queen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Queen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Eliott does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The crowd cheers as Queen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Eliott doesn't seem phased though.
Queen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Eliott misses with a head kick.
Eliott throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Eliott tries to score with a low kick but Queen moves his leg out of the way.
Eliott pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Queen tries to clinch up.
Queen blocks the body kick.

Queen darts in and clinches Eliott up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Queen pushes Eliott back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Jon Eliott has been cut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Queen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Eliott jumps guard but Queen stands there with Eliott around his waist. Eliott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Eliott has picked Queen up - he's going for a ride! Eliott dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Queen is trying to stand back up but Eliott is controlling him
Eliott moves into full mount! Queen won't be happy about that!
Eliott wants to control the pace but Queen is squirming around nicely.
Queen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Eliott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Queen is looking to escape.

Eliott jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Queen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Queen and Eliott has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eliott is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Queen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Eliott goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Queen has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Eliott but great work by Queen.
Queen cracks Eliott with a big right hand but Eliott just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Eliott takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Queen looks up at the clock and then as Eliott takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Queen smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Eliott is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Queen is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Queen throws a series of strikes that have Eliott backpedaling.

Queen feints and as Eliott raises his hands in defense, Queen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Queen looking to sit in guard and control but Eliott gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We've been hearing good reports from Eliott's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A very excited looking Kevin Queen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
