PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chadwick Kramer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karlis Graudins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Karlis Graudins was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chadwick Kramer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karlis Graudins!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graudins wants to clinch but Kramer slips to the side
and Kramer counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Graudins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kramer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kramer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Graudins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Graudins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kramer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Graudins looking to sit in guard and control but Kramer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kramer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Graudins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kramer wants to control but Graudins is keeping busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kramer has his foot on Graudins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Graudins works his way back into a safe position though.

Kramer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Graudins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chadwick Kramer.
I think Graudins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
