PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kangi Ojoos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kangi Ojoos has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kangi Ojoos seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sergio Pettis!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ojoos loads up on a big right hand but Pettis slips the punch.
Ojoos looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Pettis gets a takedown into half guard.
Pettis is looking to pass Ojoos's guard but actually Ojoos recovers to full guard.

Ojoos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pettis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pettis is in close to Ojoos's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Ojoos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pettis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pettis content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Ojoos has locked up a guillotine! Ojoos's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Pettis is holding on here and Ojoos must be using up a lot of energy. Pettis has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Ojoos gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
