The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roll darts in trying to clinch
and Savolainen counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Savolainen lands an elbow.
Roll tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Savolainen lands a nice forearm strike.
Savolainen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Savolainen advances to full mount.

Roll is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roll swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savolainen with shots to the head and body - Roll looks very uncomfortable down there.
Savolainen putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Savolainen fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Roll is squirming around, avoiding Savolainen's attempts to control the action.
Roll is trying to escape the mount.
Savolainen scoring with strikes but Roll is staying in there.
Roll is bucking up trying to escape but Savolainen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Roll is rocked!
Savolainen softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Roll is out cold! Savolainen jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
