Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reid dives in and grabs Hemsworth's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hemsworth pushes down on Reid's head and hops out.
Hemsworth looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hemsworth closes the distance and clinches.
Reid tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hemsworth smiles and moves away.
Hemsworth misses with a head kick.
A punch combination from Hemsworth misses.
Reid shoots in for a double leg but Hemsworth sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ismael Reid. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reid is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hemsworth's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reid thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Reid is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hemsworth has managed to free his arm - good work.
Reid really is a fat lump.
Hemsworth is trying to escape back to his feet but Reid uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Hemsworth felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Reid connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hemsworth some visible discomfort.
Reid landing strikes.
Reid tries for a kimura but Hemsworth is defending well.

Reid trying to control the action but Hemsworth is working from the bottom.
Reid is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hemsworth is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hemsworth takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Reid working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Hemsworth takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Reid thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Reid controls the position from side control.
Reid wants to control but Hemsworth is keeping him busy.
Hemsworth manages to get back to half guard.
Reid seems to be looking for submissions.
Reid working over Hemsworth with some ground and pound. Hemsworth looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Hemsworth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hemsworth is not content to let Reid control the position.
Reid has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hemsworth defend it? Reid steps over the head and cranks it - Hemsworth is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Reid!
