The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ronman is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Robinson has taken his back.

We've been hearing good reports from Robinson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Robinson lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Ronman prevents Robinson from getting a body triangle.

Ronman rolls, trying to escape but Robinson keeps control of the position.
Ronman is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Robinson is persistently looking for the submission but Ronman is defending it well.
Robinson slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Ronman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robinson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Verne Robinson looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I expect a win and that's what I got. I would like to thank the promoter for the match. lastly, I would like to tell my opponent to get a new job. You are nothing but a pompous arse that will never be able to match someone like me. You have no business in my cage - I suggest you stay out of it.'.
In defeat, Bob Ronman stepped up to the mic, saying 'I was really looking to win this fight. I guess this isn't my day.'.
