The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Peterson's head.

It looks like Dylan Peterson has been cut.
Peterson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Clay takes the fight into the clinch.

Peterson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Clay closes the distance and pushes Peterson back into the cage.
Peterson jumps guard but Clay stands there with Peterson around his waist. Peterson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Peterson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peterson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Clay fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dylan Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Clay closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Peterson out cold! Peterson corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

After the fight, Jay Clay was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
