A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Burger manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Burger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Burger connects with a nice short shot to Rossi's temple.

Rossi is pressed up against the cage. Burger has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rossi down to the mat. Rossi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rossi is looking for a sweep.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rossi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Burger is looking to take a break and control but Rossi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rossi is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Burger lands a nice forearm strike.
Burger working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Rossi wants to get back to his feet.
The referee asks Burger politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Burger prefers to stall for the moment though.

Burger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Burger looks up at the clock and then as Rossi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Burger smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
