Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Inspectah Deck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deck kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Raekwon feat. Inspectah Deck, GZA-Guillotine (Swordz). Murphy has chosen The Warrior's Code as his entrance music. Inspectah Deck could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tyler Murphy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Inspectah Deck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyler Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Deck can pounce on him.
Deck on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Deck throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Murphy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Deck slaps away a takedown attempt from Murphy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Some wild striking there from Deck.
Deck lands an overhand right.
No joy there for Deck, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Deck displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Murphy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deck slips a jab from Murphy.
Murphy scores with a body shot.
Murphy throws a chopping leg kick but Deck manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A left lands for Murphy.
We've been hearing reports that Deck has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Inspectah Deck is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Deck avoids the body shot from Murphy.
Deck motions for Murphy to come forward. Deck throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Murphy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Deck quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Deck has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Murphy is working away from the top position though.

Deck tries to roll over but Murphy keeps him under control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Murphy winds up and cracks Deck with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Deck is looking for a sweep. Murphy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Deck is looking to control Murphy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Deck avoid being mounted?

Murphy wants to take a breather but Deck is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Deck misses with a low kick.
Nice sprawl there from Deck as Murphy shoots in.
Inspectah Deck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Murphy.
Deck throws the left hand but Murphy avoids the punch easily.
Murphy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Murphy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Deck moves in looking to clinch but Murphy pushes him off.
Murphy moves out of range as Deck strikes.
Deck throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Deck throws a nice inside leg kick.
Murphy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Deck sprawls well. Deck wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murphy gets slowly back to his feet.

Murphy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Deck is looking to score with low kicks.
Murphy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Murphy throws a leg kick but Deck checks it.
Murphy fails with a takedown attempt.
Deck uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Deck lands a right hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Inspectah Deck dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Deck fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Murphy has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Deck moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Murphy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Deck!
Deck parries the strikes from Murphy easily there. Murphy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Deck to escape.

Murphy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Deck manages to work his way to half guard, despite Murphy's best efforts.

Murphy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Murphy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Murphy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Deck is looking to escape.
Murphy is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Deck can't escape the position.
Murphy landing punches.
Deck is trying to escape the mount.
Tyler Murphy has got the better of the ground game so far.

Murphy throwing strikes here but Deck is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Murphy with shots to the head and body - Deck looks very uncomfortable down there.
Murphy unloads with some shots from mount but Deck bucks and avoids them well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Poor strikes thrown by Murphy there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
BOOM! Murphy connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Murphy breaks from Deck's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Murphy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Deck looks a forlorn figure.

Murphy lands a couple of good shots and Deck has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Tyler Murphy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Murphy lands with a hook. Deck tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Deck lands a nice hook to Murphy's body. Murphy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Murphy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Deck pinned against the cage. Deck gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Murphy keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Deck lands a nice leg kick that just misses Murphy's sensitive parts.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Murphy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Deck moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Murphy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Deck swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Murphy trying to control but Deck is working from the bottom.
Murphy won't allow Deck to sweep him here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Deck holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Murphy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Deck is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Murphy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Deck is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Deck lands a leg kick that knocks Murphy off balance momentarily.
A bone on bone clash there as Deck blocks the leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Murphy.
Murphy fails with a takedown attempt.
A head kick by Deck misses
and Murphy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Murphy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Deck counters with a nice body shot.
Murphy dives in for a single leg takedown but Deck sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Deck misses with a hook to the ribs.

Deck manages to break the clinch.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Deck - that will leave a mark!

Deck gets a clinch.
Deck pushes Murphy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A shot in the inside from Deck.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Deck lands a right hand that snaps the head of Murphy backwards.
Deck lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Deck lands with a left to the head.
Murphy blocks a body shot from Deck.

And that's the end of the fight!
Inspectah Deck showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Deck has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
