Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Fonzerelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Loque Nahak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fonzerelo's entrance music is All I Do Is Win (DJ Khaled). A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arthur Fonzerelo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Loque Nahak!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nahak shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fonzerelo defends it nicely.
Fonzerelo shoots for a double leg takedown but Nahak sprawls well. He's pushed Fonzerelo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nahak misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nahak fails with a takedown attempt.
Arthur Fonzerelo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Loque Nahak.
Nahak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fonzerelo tries to avoid it but Nahak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fonzerelo to the ground. Fonzerelo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fonzerelo.
Fonzerelo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Nahak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fonzerelo as he jumps to the side.
Nice sprawl there from Fonzerelo as Nahak shoots in.

Fonzerelo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nahak to the mat! Nahak manages to get full guard.
Nahak looking for a sweep. Not yet Nahak, not yet.
Fonzerelo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fonzerelo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nahak swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fonzerelo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nahak tries to avoid it but Fonzerelo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nahak to the ground. Nahak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've been informed that Nahak has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fonzerelo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Nahak has worked his arm free - good work by Nahak!
Fonzerelo wants to control but Nahak is keeping him busy.

Fonzerelo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fonzerelo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fonzerelo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nahak wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nahak is not content to let Fonzerelo control the position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Nahak is looking for a sweep.
Fonzerelo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nahak can do to turn this around?

Nahak has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Fonzerelo is looking for the choke from the back position but Nahak is controlling his hands well.
Nahak is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Fonzerelo off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Fonzerelo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nahak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Nahak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fonzerelo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nahak can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fonzerelo postures up in Nahak's guard and throws a big left but Nahak blocks it.
Fonzerelo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fonzerelo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Fonzerelo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Fonzerelo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nahak is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

and Nahak counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fonzerelo shoots in but Nahak avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arthur Fonzerelo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fonzerelo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nahak sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fonzerelo somewhat.
Fonzerelo goes for a double leg but Nahak avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Nahak continues to drive forward.

And that's the end of the fight!
Arthur Fonzerelo showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fonzerelo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
