Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Noisy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayy Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jayy Ventura will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Noisy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jayy Ventura!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura darts in trying to clinch

and Noisy counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Ventura working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Noisy has passed into half guard!

Ventura actively working from the bottom here.
Noisy trying to control the pace.

Ventura looking for a kimura from the bottom but Noisy passes into side control!

Noisy stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Noisy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Noisy tries to free his leg and advance position but Ventura is retaining full guard.

Ventura is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Noisy's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Ventura throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Noisy escapes and throws Ventura's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Ventura is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Noisy wants to control but Ventura is keeping him busy.
Noisy landing a few strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Noisy working away.

Noisy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ventura has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ventura is looking for a sweep.
Noisy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ventura keeps working.

Noisy has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Ventura looks to clinch

and Noisy counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Noisy stands up and beckons Ventura to join him on the feet.
Ventura fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ventura moves to clinch but Noisy breaks away

and Noisy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ventura looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Noisy passes into side control.
Ventura is looking to regain half guard here but Noisy keeps moving and retains side control.
Ventura keeps trying to improve his position.
Noisy is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ventura will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Ventura can't do much from the bottom here.
Ventura manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Ventura is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Noisy still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Noisy has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Noisy works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Ventura takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ventura tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Noisy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ventura has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ventura is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Noisy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Noisy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Noisy lands a decent elbow from side control.
Ventura regains half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Noisy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ventura defends it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Noisy seems to be looking for submissions.

Ventura is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Noisy pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ventura tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Noisy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ventura wants to clinch up but Noisy keeps it at a distance.
Noisy tries to close the distance and clinch but Ventura swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ventura fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ventura moves in looking to clinch but Noisy pushes him off.

so Noisy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Ventura sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Ventura wants to control the action here but instead Noisy manages to pass to full mount!
Ventura wants to hold on but Noisy pushes him away.

Noisy is looking to work his way around to Ventura's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Ventura wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Ventura defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Noisy's arms.

Noisy is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ventura is defending well though. Noisy let's go of the attempt for now.
Ventura tries to roll but Noisy sticks to his back.
Noisy lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Noisy gets his hands free as Ventura looks to control.
Ventura manages to reverse the position and now he's in Noisy's guard. Nice work there by Ventura.
Noisy has Ventura pulled in close to control his posture.

Ventura postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Noisy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ventura, into his guard.
Noisy stands up over Ventura, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Ventura being controlled here, momentarily.

Ventura working for a triangle but Noisy defends it easily.
Noisy distracts Ventura with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Noisy is looking to stand up but Ventura won't let him.

Ventura working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Noisy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Noisy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Noisy tries to free his leg and advance position but Ventura is retaining full guard.

Noisy gets to his feet. Ventura looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Ventura wants to clinch.

Noisy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Noisy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ventura is looking for a triangle here but Noisy uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Ventura is trying to work for a sweep but Noisy has mounted him!
Ventura is breathing heavily.
Noisy prevents Ventura from getting the reversal.
Noisy controlling the pace for now.

Noisy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ventura's guard.

Noisy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Noisy keeps the fight on the outside.
Ventura tries to close the distance and clinch but Noisy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Noisy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Noisy pushing down on Ventura's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Noisy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ventura can do to turn this around?

Noisy escapes and gets back to his feet.
Ventura takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Noisy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Noisy lands in his opponent's guard.
Noisy stays in close to Ventura's body and controls the position.
Noisy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ventura had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Noisy defends it easily.

Noisy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Jayy Ventura has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ventura looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Noisy has picked Ventura up and slammed him! Ventura can't keep hold of the triangle and Noisy manages to pass to side control!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Nick Noisy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Noisy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ventura knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Noisy decides to stand back up. Noisy steps back and let's Ventura get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ventura is looking to reverse the position.

Noisy swings around for an armbar but Ventura sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Noisy's guard.

Ventura goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Noisy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ventura but great work by Noisy.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Noisy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
