Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Morrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keith Hunt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lyle Morrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keith Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Morrow sprawls well initially but Hunt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hunt moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Morrow.
Morrow seems a little lost for a moment, as Hunt dominates the positioning.
Morrow could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Morrow can't do much from the bottom here.
Morrow is looking to reverse the position.
Hunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morrow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Morrow is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hunt has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hunt landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morrow wants to get back to his feet but Hunt drags him back down.
Morrow avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hunt.
Hunt tries to advance to mount but Morrow denies him.
Morrow tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Morrow being controlled for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Morrow might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Morrow throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
The ground and pound from Hunt seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Morrow is letting Hunt control him for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Hunt might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Keith Hunt hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hunt thuds his right hand into Morrow's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


It looks like Lyle Morrow has been cut.
Hunt lands a right hook to the body.

Hunt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.


Morrow is rocked!
Hunt throwing strikes but missing.
Morrow is breathing heavily.
Morrow can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hunt controls the pace.

Morrow looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunt with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hunt stands and throws Morrow's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hunt controlling the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keith Hunt dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Lyle Morrow's cut.
That's time! Morrow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Morrow has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Hunt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Morrow on his heels. He'll look to pass Morrow's guard now, I'm sure.
Oh Morrow is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Morrow avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Morrow seems to have got his legs back now.
Morrow trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Hunt trying to move into half guard but instead Morrow has managed to sweep!

Hunt is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Morrow has his hands clasped together but Hunt extends and breaks Morrow's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hunt.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Keith Hunt!
