The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva tries to clinch there but Short circles away.
Da Silva scores with a nice right hand.
Short darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Short working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Da Silva is not content to let Short control the position.
Da Silva is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Short is tapping! Great win for Da Silva!
