And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Big Bad King Bong !
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King Bong with a lazy takedown attempt
and Stephens counters with a series of strikes. King Bong will be more careful next time no doubt.

Stephens could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
King Bong lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stephens manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Stephens ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stephens no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

King Bong is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

King Bong jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stephens walks away with a smile on his face. King Bong gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

King Bong fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
King Bong shoots in for a double leg but Stephens sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Stephens throws a sloppy head kick and King Bong moves out of range easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

King Bong lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Stephens throws a head kick but King Bong moves out of range.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for King Bong . He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Stephens dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
King Bong shoots in looking for a takedown. Stephens tries to sprawl out of it but King Bong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stephens manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Stephens is looking to work his way out of this bad position but King Bong is controlling him well.
King Bong tries to score with some ground and pound. Stephens controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

King Bong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stephens sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
King Bong dives in for a single leg takedown but Stephens sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Stephens has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but King Bong is on him like a limpet, forcing Stephens back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as King Bong takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

King Bong shoots in for a takedown but Stephens shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Big Bad King Bong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for King Bong with that takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Big Bad King Bong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
