Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ike Hayden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubens Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigues has chosen Back in Black as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Hayden throws an overhand right that lands on Rodrigues's shoulder, as Rodrigues tries to avoid the shot.
Hayden doesn't manage to clinch there - Rodrigues circles away.

and Rodrigues counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rodrigues.

Hayden pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rubens Rodrigues.
Hayden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rodrigues paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hayden tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hayden throws a sloppy head kick and Rodrigues moves out of range easily.

Hayden has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rodrigues after a bit of a struggle.

Rodrigues breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hayden closes the distance but Rodrigues moves to the side

and Rodrigues counters with a crisp one two that drops Hayden! Rodrigues thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Hayden to his feet! Hayden is in big trouble!

Hayden darts in trying to clinch
and Rodrigues counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Hayden off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Rodrigues follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Hayden was out before he hit the floor.

After winning the bout, Rubens Rodrigues thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
