The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collier fails with the takedown

and Velcic counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Velcic content to control rather than advance.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Velcic lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Collier is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Velcic pulls his head out easily.
Collier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Velcic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Velcic slows the pace down in half guard.
Collier has hold of Velcic's hands but Velcic slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Velcic lands a big elbow - Collier is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Velcic!
