The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer goes for a double leg but Ferreira avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ferreira continues to drive forward.
Spencer fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ferreira looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Spencer on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ferreira has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Spencer is trying to keep an underhook but Ferreira manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Spencer is trying to maintain the position but Ferreira is very close to passing his half guard.
Ferreira tries to pass to full mount but Spencer defends it.
Spencer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferreira on the ground.

Ferreira frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Spencer wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferreira is cranking Spencer's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Spencer! He's tightened the choke and Spencer is tapping out!
