Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ram Shakar!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shakar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Shakar throwing strikes but Campbell manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Shakar is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Campbell off and has taken his back!
Campbell is really stuck here.

Shakar working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Campbell looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Campbell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shakar on the ground.

Campbell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shakar controls the action.

Campbell is having to fend off submission attempts from Shakar, who is looking to sink in the choke. Shakar doesn't have the hooks in though and Campbell manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Shakar lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Campbell wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shakar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Shakar throws a big elbow that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Shakar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Campbell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shakar passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Ram Shakar dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Shakar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Campbell takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ram Shakar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Campbell shoots in for a takedown but Shakar shows good takedown defense.
Campbell wants to clinch but Shakar slips to the side

and Shakar moves into the clinch.
Come on Shakar - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Shakar gets control of Campbell's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shakar will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Shakar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Campbell throws a strike but Shakar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Shakar passes the guard and advances to mount!

Shakar has hold of Campbell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Campbell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Shakar is working for a guillotine from mount but Campbell frees his head quite easily.

Shakar avoids the attempt from Campbell to control.

Shakar stands up from mount. Strange move.
Shakar fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Campbell checks it well.

Shakar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Shakar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Shakar is controlling the pace.
Shakar moves into full mount! Campbell won't be happy about that!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ram Shakar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Shakar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Shakar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Shakar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Shakar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Campbell lands an upkick as Shakar stands over him.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ram Shakar wasn't active enough on the ground.

Shakar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Shakar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Shakar throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Ram Shakar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shakar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
