Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Melcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melcher shoots in looking for a takedown but Gomez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Melcher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gomez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Gomez working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Gomez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Melcher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gomez has managed to get both his arms back between Melcher's legs - danger averted.

Melcher closes the distance and clinches up with Gomez, looking for a takedown. Melcher pushes Gomez against the cage but Gomez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Melcher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gomez tries to avoid it but Melcher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gomez to the ground. Gomez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
