Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Polisk Irvin!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irvin wants to clinch up but Weber keeps it at a distance.
Weber shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Irvin but Irvin pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Weber shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Irvin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Irvin is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Weber dives into side control.
Weber lands a nice forearm strike.
Weber trying to control the action but Irvin is working from the bottom.
Irvin tries to bench press Weber off him but Weber keeps the position.

Weber tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Weber tries for a kimura but Irvin is defending well.
Weber wants to stand but Irvin is controlling his arm.
A lull in the action here as Weber stalls from top position.

Weber is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Irvin pushes Weber away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Weber gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Irvin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Weber tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Weber has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Irvin is not content to let Weber control the position.
Irvin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Irvin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Irvin is letting Weber control him for a moment.
Weber fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Weber looks up at the clock and then as Irvin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Weber smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Irvin is looking for a sweep.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Weber scores with a couple of short elbows.
Irvin looks to move to half guard but instead Weber has passed into mount! Damn!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Weber trying to control but Irvin is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rick Weber dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Weber shoots in looking for a takedown but Irvin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Weber's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Weber is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Irvin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Weber. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Irvin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Webers head.
Irvin presses Weber against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oh Weber is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Irvin pushes Weber against the cage. Irvin is working some dirty boxing. Irvin pushes off with a quick right hook! Weber goes down! Weber tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Irvin moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Polisk Irvin!
Our winner, Polisk Irvin, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
