Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Medvedev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroy Lavelle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lavelle avoids the head kick by Medvedev.
Lavelle avoids a kick to the body.
Medvedev will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Medvedev throws the kick towards the body but Lavelle avoids it.
Lavelle tries for a takedown but Medvedev sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Medvedev lands a leg kick that knocks Lavelle off balance momentarily.
Lavelle stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Medvedev.
Medvedev throws a sloppy head kick and Lavelle moves out of range easily.
Lavelle takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lavelle should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Medvedev throws a front kick aimed at Lavelle's knee but Lavelle avoids it well.
Medvedev scores with a kick to the midsection.
Nikolai Medvedev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Medvedev throws a head kick that misses.
Lavelle avoids the head kick by Medvedev.
Medvedev scores with a head kick. Lavelle tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Medvedev shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Medvedev fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lavelle has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Medvedev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lavelle misses with a two punch combination.
Medvedev throws a head kick that misses.
Medvedev lands with a slapping head kick.
Medvedev is breathing heavily.

Lavelle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Medvedev, pushing him back against the cage.
Lavelle tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Lavelle is trying to trip Medvedev. He has hold of a leg but Medvedev is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lavelle persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Medvedev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lavelle won't allow Medvedev to sweep him here.

Lavelle drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Lavelle as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Medvedev screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Lavelle! Nice submission victory there!
