The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyanja tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ash swivels and escapes.

Ash fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nyanja sprawls well initially but Ash persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Nyanja could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ash slows the pace down in half guard.

Ash is working for a kimura but Nyanja is defending it quite comfortably.
Ash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nyanja. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Nyanja is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ash pulls his head out easily.

Missy Ash has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Ash drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Nyanja quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Nyanja but it's paid off an Ash is forced to tap! Nice work by Nyanja.
