Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex The Lion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Hoggets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex The Lion could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Frankie Hoggets's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Hoggets!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, John Mangel and Topper Green.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Lion throws a jab but it's blocked by Hoggets.
Hoggets misses with a few strikes there.
The Lion blocks a head kick by Hoggets.
A big left from Hoggets misses.
Hoggets tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but The Lion was well out of range. Poor timing from Hoggets.
The Lion pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hoggets.
Hoggets shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as The Lion sprawls well. The Lion wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hoggets gets slowly back to his feet.
Hoggets looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoggets throws the kick towards the body but The Lion avoids it.
No joy there for Hoggets, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hoggets misses with a low kick as The Lion jumps back.

Hoggets fails to land with a series of punches.
Hoggets takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hoggets throws a wild body kick that The Lion sees coming a mile off.
Hoggets fails to land the takedown.
Alex The Lion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankie Hoggets.
Hoggets throws a left and a right that both miss
and The Lion counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The Lion moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Frankie Hoggets has been cut.
Hoggets throws a sloppy head kick and The Lion moves out of range easily.
Hoggets tries to clinch up but The Lion circles away and keeps his distance.
The Lion avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hoggets scores with a body shot.
A big left from Hoggets misses.
The Lion looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The Lion moves out of range of the body kick from Hoggets.
The Lion looks to land a combination. Hoggets sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Hoggets is rocked!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters circling - Hoggets throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The Lion's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hoggets under the eye.
Hoggets is still on wobbly legs! Can The Lion finish him?
Hoggets gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and The Lion counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The Lion is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

The Lion drops Hoggets with a straight right hand, right on the button! The Lion follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
