Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Petkovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stig Helmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petkovic comes to the cage accompanied by BvC Crew - KOSOVO. Stig Helmer told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Roman Petkovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stig Helmer!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helmer throws a jab but it's blocked by Petkovic.
Petkovic misses with an attempted mid kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Petkovic. That's going to slow Helmer down.
Helmer closes the distance and clinches.
Petkovic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Helmer doesn't manage to clinch there - Petkovic circles away.
Helmer fails to land with a series of punches.
Petkovic looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That kick from Petkovic tenderised Helmer's leg. Helmer is trying to keep his angry face on.
Helmer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Helmer fails in his attempt to clinch.
A thudding body kick lands there by Petkovic!
Helmer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Petkovic.
Petkovic does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Helmer throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Petkovic tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Helmer is in Petkovic's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Petkovic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Petkovic looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Helmer wants to pass the guard but Petkovic is keeping the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Helmer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Helmer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Petkovic finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Petkovic misses with a head kick.
Petkovic rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Helmer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Helmer decides to stand and escape the position.
Helmer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Helmer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Petkovic throws a body shot but no joy.
Left hook, right uppercut from Helmer.
It looks like Roman Petkovic has been cut.
Petkovic throws a head kick that misses.
Helmer blocks the body kick.
Helmer listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Petkovic misses with a kick to the body.
Oh Petkovic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Petkovic goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Petkovic seems to have got his legs back now.
It looks like Stig Helmer has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Petkovic enables Helmer to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Petkovic manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Helmer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Helmer postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Petkovic covers up, he's hurt! Helmer keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Helmer and the ref steps in to end the fight! Helmer can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stig Helmer!
A very excited looking Stig Helmer made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
