The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goverdeen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Goverdeen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lollo, pushing him back against the cage.
Goverdeen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lollo has him pressed against the cage.
Goverdeen is trying to maintain a safe position but Lollo gets an underhook and turns Goverdeen into the cage.

Lollo breaks the clinch.
Lollo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Goverdeen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lollo as he jumps to the side.
We've been informed that Lollo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Lollo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Goverdeen moves away.

Lollo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lollo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lollo throws a lazy right hand but Goverdeen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Eki Lollo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goverdeen looks for a takedown but Lollo sprawls well.
Lollo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Goverdeen is breathing heavily.
Lollo cracks Goverdeen with a good jab.

Lollo cracks Goverdeen with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Goverdeen looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lollo finish him?

Goverdeen is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Goverdeen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Oh Goverdeen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've been hearing reports that Goverdeen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Lollo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Goverdeen.
Lollo cracks Goverdeen with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Goverdeen falls to his knees and Lollo doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
