Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fent Langt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Millar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Langt comes to the cage accompanied by Invincible . Michael Millar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fent Langt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Millar!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langt looks for a takedown but Millar sprawls well.
Langt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Langt shoots in for a takedown but Millar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Langt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Millar closes the distance and clinches up with Langt, looking for a takedown. Millar pushes Langt against the cage but Langt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fent Langt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Millar.

Millar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Langt on his heels. He'll look to pass Langt's guard now, I'm sure.
Millar looking to sit in guard and control but Langt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Millar works his way to full guard. Good work.
Millar is looking to stand up but Langt isn't so interested in that idea.

Millar wants to get back to full guard but Langt has mounted him!
Millar tries to hold on but Langt postures up.
Langt thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Millar wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Millar covering up well under a series of strikes from Langt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A close round but Michael Millar will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Millar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Langt swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Millar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Langt pinned against the cage. Langt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Millar, right into the meat.
Millar is looking to clinch but Langt is avoiding it.
Millar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Langt as he avoids it easily.

Millar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Langt's guard.

Langt drops back looking for a leg! Millar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Millar manages to kick Langt off! Langt jumps back into Millar's guard.
Michael Millar has got the better of the ground game so far.

Millar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Langt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Langt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Langt trying to control the position from guard on top but Millar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Langt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Langt slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Millar.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Langt perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Langt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Millar just stands there and leans against the cage.

Millar is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Langt can't fight it off and eventually Millar manages to take the fight to the floor. Langt looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Michael Millar hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Michael Millar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Langt shoots for a double leg takedown but Millar sprawls well. He's pushed Langt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Millar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Langt was covering up waiting for the punch and Millar finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Langt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Millar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Millar stands and steps away. Langt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Langt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Langt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Millar tries to avoid it but Langt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Millar to the ground. Millar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Millar will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Langt up against the cage.

Millar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Michael Millar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Millar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
