Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Teras Kassit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jethro Rusted (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teras Kassit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jethro Rusted!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kassit throws a lazy right hand but Rusted sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rusted misses with a hook.
Nice shot by Kassit.
Kassit scores with a punch to the head.
Kassit takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rusted looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kassit throws a hook to the side of Rusted's head but Rusted sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kassit has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jethro Rusted seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kassit moves out of range as Rusted strikes.
Rusted misses with a series of wild punches.
Rusted looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rusted will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rusted throws a leg kick which misses Kassit's front leg but catches the back leg as Kassit tries to avoid it.

Rusted bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Rusted feints and then cracks Kassit's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kassit down.

Rusted shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kassit but Kassit pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rusted shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kassit manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kassit wants to sweep here but Rusted controlling him for the moment.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rusted stands and throws Kassit's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rusted looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kassit parries the strikes from Rusted easily there. Rusted is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kassit to escape.
Rusted trying to control the position but Kassit is working away.
Rusted tries to score with some ground and pound. Kassit controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Rusted remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Rusted bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Rusted throws a series of punches but Kassit moves out of range.

Rusted throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kassit tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rusted is in Kassit's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kassit throws a right hand that Rusted ducks under and follows up with a left that Rusted also avoids with ease.

Rusted fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kassit sprawls well initially but Rusted persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Rusted has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Rusted has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Let's hope that Rusted has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jethro Rusted showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Rusted is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rusted feints a jab promting Kassit to slip. Rusted then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kassit slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kassit misses with a straight right.
Rusted pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A slapping body kick lands there for Rusted.
Kassit chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rusted can pounce on him.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Rusted - that will leave a mark!

Rusted shoots in and bounces Kassit off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rusted engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Rusted in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rusted not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kassit keeping moving, preventing Rusted from controlling successfully.

Jethro Rusted comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rusted has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
