Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Preston Farmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Fur Era (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William Fur Era is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Preston Farmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, William Fur Era!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fur Era throws a leg kick

and Farmer moves into the clinch.

Farmer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Farmer throws a head kick but Fur Era moves out of range.
Farmer tries to clinch but Fur Era moves out of range.
Farmer throws a sloppy head kick and Fur Era moves out of range easily.
Farmer scores with a head kick.
Farmer slaps away a takedown attempt from Fur Era, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fur Era goes for a double leg but Farmer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Farmer continues to drive forward.

Farmer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fur Era throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Farmer's waist but Farmer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fur Era off to one side.
Preston Farmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Fur Era.

Fur Era rushes Farmer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Farmer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fur Era is defended easily by Farmer.
Farmer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Farmer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fur Era.
Some wild striking there from Fur Era.
Fur Era shoots in and drives through. Farmer sprawls well.
Farmer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fur Era.
Preston Farmer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Farmer lands with a kick to the temple. Fur Era shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fur Era.

Farmer throws a head kick that misses.
Farmer lands a head kick. Fur Era smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Farmer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fur Era closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Fur Era thows a huge punch but Farmer dodges it nicely.
Farmer is pressing down on Fur Era's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fur Era has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Fur Era is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Fur Era throws an elbow that misses. Farmer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fur Era's guard. Nice move by Farmer!
Fur Era has Farmer pulled in close to control his posture.
Farmer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fur Era keeping moving, preventing Farmer from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fur Era avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Our spies down at at Cozad MMA St Petersburg inform us that Fur Era has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Fur Era wants to get back to his feet but Farmer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Fur Era is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Farmer lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Preston Farmer will probably get the nod.

Fur Era feints and as Farmer raises his hands in defense, Fur Era changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fur Era throws a big elbow that misses.
Fur Era wants to control from the top but Farmer keeps moving.
Fur Era throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Farmer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fur Era is breathing heavily.
Fur Era postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fur Era throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Farmer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fur Era wants to stand but Farmer is controlling his posture from full guard.
Fur Era passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Fur Era looks up at the clock and then as Farmer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fur Era smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Oh Farmer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Farmer is trying to escape the position but Fur Era is controlling the position.
Fur Era cracks Farmer with a big right hand but Farmer just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Fur Era scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Farmer is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Fur Era can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Fur Era!
After the fight, William Fur Era was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
