Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Lobo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Post (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lobo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Carbon Based Lifeforms - Photosynthesis. Post has chosen Bom Bom pow as his entrance music. Antonio Lobo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Lobo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frankie Post!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lobo blocks a head kick by Post.
Post tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lobo wants to clinch

and Post counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Post.
Post landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Post pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lobo wants to clinch.
Lobo tries to clinch but Post moves out of range.
Lobo tries to clinch up but Post circles away and keeps his distance.
Lobo blocks a head kick by Post.
Lobo darts in trying to clinch

and Post holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lobo fails to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Post breaks the clinch.
Lobo tries to clinch but Post moves out of range.
Lobo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Post scores with a head kick. Lobo tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Lobo takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lobo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Post circles away from the clinch attempt

and Post counters by moving into the clinch.

Lobo pulls Post into guard.
Post controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Lobo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Post is aware though and is defending well.

Lobo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Post doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Post manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Post is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Lobo has his foot on Post's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Post works his way back into a safe position though.

Post controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Lobo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Post wants to stand but Lobo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Post is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Post postures up in Lobo's guard and throws a big left but Lobo blocks it.
Post really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lobo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Post stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lobo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lobo keeping moving, preventing Post from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Post slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Lobo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Post has his hands clasped together but Lobo extends and breaks Post's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lobo.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Antonio Lobo!
Antonio Lobo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
