The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas scores with a jab.

Leonidas throws an overhand right that lands on Hardon Jr's shoulder, as Hardon Jr tries to avoid the shot.

Leonidas jabs Hardon Jr to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Hardon Jr throws a strike but Leonidas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hardon Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Leonidas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hardon Jr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Leonidas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hardon Jr is looking for a triangle but Leonidas pushes his legs off easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Leonidas wants to stand but Hardon Jr is controlling his posture from full guard.
Leonidas trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Hardon Jr looking for subs off his back but Leonidas has passed one foot through into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Leonidas tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

It looks like Big Hardon Jr has been cut.
A big left from Leonidas misses.
Leonidas swings for the body but Hardon Jr moves out of range.

Hardon Jr tries a head kick but it misses.
That kick from Hardon Jr tenderised Leonidas's leg. Leonidas is trying to keep his angry face on.

Hardon Jr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Leonidas.

Hardon Jr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Leonidas defends it nicely.

Leonidas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Leonidas wants to sweep here but Hardon Jr controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leonidas tries to stand and escape but Hardon Jr actually recovers to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hardon Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leonidas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leonidas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Leonidas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hardon Jr is proving hard to escape from.

Hardon Jr looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Leonidas has picked Hardon Jr up and slammed him! Hardon Jr can't keep hold of the triangle and Leonidas manages to pass to side control!
Leonidas wants to stand but Hardon Jr has his arm trapped.
Hardon Jr felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Leonidas tries to get to his feet but Hardon Jr is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Leonidas in his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hardon Jr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Leonidas wants to get up but he can't break Hardon Jr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Leonidas smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Leonidas fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

That's time! Leonidas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Leonidas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hardon Jr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Leonidas circles away.
Hardon Jr moves out of range of the body kick from Leonidas.
Hardon Jr shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Leonidas throws a hook to the side of Hardon Jr's head but Hardon Jr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A punch lands to the side of Hardon Jr 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hardon Jr fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Leonidas.

Zeus Leonidas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Hardon Jr.
Hardon Jr shoots in looking for a takedown but Leonidas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hardon Jr's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Leonidas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
