Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Dinkens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Dinkens will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dylan Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Dinkens!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dinkens scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Dinkens decides to stand back up.
Dinkens throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Peterson's head.


It looks like Dylan Peterson has been cut.
Dinkens comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Peterson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dinkens as he jumps to the side.

Dinkens rushes Peterson and presses him up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dinkens turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dinkens manages to end up in side control.

Dinkens decides to stand back up. Dinkens steps back and let's Peterson get back to his feet.

Dinkens has Peterson up against the cage in a clinch.

Peterson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dinkens uses from the top position.

Dinkens stands up over Peterson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We're going to have a standup here because Dylan Peterson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Peterson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dinkens pinned against the cage. Dinkens gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dinkens throws a right hand that Peterson ducks under and follows up with a left that Peterson also avoids with ease.

Dinkens is looking to take a break and control but Peterson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Peterson is looking for a triangle but Dinkens pushes his legs off easily.
Dinkens stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peterson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Peterson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dinkens defends well.

Peterson has his foot on Dinkens's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dinkens works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Dinkens has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
