Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mega Minion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Higgens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peter Higgens will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mega Minion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Peter Higgens!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Higgens misses with a left hand
and Minion counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Higgens shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Minion sprawls well. Minion wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Higgens gets slowly back to his feet.
Minion fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Minion stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Minion wants it to stay on the feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Higgens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Minion moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Minion is looking to break free of the clinch but Higgens has double underhooks.

Minion is fighting off a takedown attempt but Higgens is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Minion to the mat. Minion regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

We've been hearing good reports from Minion's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mega Minion.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Minion, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
