Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Hopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Sander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Sander is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson Hopper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Sander!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopper walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sander.

Sander looking to score a takedown here. Hopper is defending well but Sander drives through and ends up in Hopper's guard.
Hopper trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Sander trying to control the position from guard on top but Hopper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sander trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Hopper trying to keep a closed guard but Sander is proving a slippery customer.
Hopper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sander's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sander is trying to control the position but Hopper postures up.

Ben Sander has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Hopper keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Sander gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hopper counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Sander!

Sander managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hopper.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hopper throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Sander tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hopper presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

That was a close round but I would say that Tyson Hopper will probably get the nod.

Sander throws a sloppy head kick and Hopper moves out of range easily.
Hopper tries a head kick but it misses.
Ben Sander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sander shoots for a double leg takedown but Hopper sprawls well. He's pushed Sander's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sander rushes Hopper and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hopper is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sander is defending well.
Sander has Hopper pressed against the cage, preventing Hopper from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Hopper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sander is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Hopper counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sander won't be happy with that.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Sander shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hopper pinned against the cage. Hopper gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hopper throws a right and a left that both miss.

Sander has closed the distance and engaged Hopper in a clinch.
Hopper has had enough of the clinch but Sander keeps him there for the moment.
Sander goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hopper prevents it.

Hopper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tyson Hopper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hopper wants to take the fight to the mat but Sander manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hopper pulls guard effortlessly.
Sander wants to control from the top but Hopper keeps moving.
Hopper is trying to keep Sander in close.

Hopper is working hard here to advance position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sander in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tyson Hopper just wasn't active enough.
Hopper fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sander manages to avoid it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tyson Hopper showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hopper, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
