The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards lands a head kick. Vladislav smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Richards connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Richards throws a solid leg kick but Vladislav takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Richards.
We've been hearing reports that Vladislav has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Richards throws a good cross that connects.
Vladislav takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Richards tries to clinch but Vladislav moves out of range.
Vladislav tries to keep at a distance but Richards has taken the fight into the clinch.
Richards fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vladislav pulls guard.
Vladislav is looking to cinch up a triangle. Richards throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Vladislav's body to avoid the submission. Vladislav has instead reached around Richards's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Vladislav arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
