The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Volund, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Da Silva throws a head kick that misses.

Da Silva rushes Volund and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Da Silva lands a nice uppercut.
Volund stalling.
Volund lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Volund cracks Da Silva with a nice body shot.
Da Silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Volund walks away with a smile on his face. Da Silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Da Silva should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Volund ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Da Silva moves away.
Volund looks to land a combination but Da Silva avoids it well.
Volund circles away from the clinch attempt
and Volund counters with a stiff right hand.

A combination from Volund does no damage.
Da Silva moves out of range of the body kick from Volund.
A left lands for Volund.
Volund tries to bum rush Da Silva with a series of wild strikes but Da Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Da Silva tries to clinch but Volund is having none of it.
Volund avoids the body shot from Da Silva.
Volund tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Da Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Volund.

Volund throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Da Silva crashing down! Da Silva tries to stagger back to his feet but Volund just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Da Silva asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
