Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Parker Carney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Koen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew Koen will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Parker Carney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Koen!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Carney looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Carney throws a right and a left that both miss.
Carney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Carney circles away from the clinch attempt

and Carney counters by moving into the clinch.

Carney successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Carney looking to hit a scissor sweep but Koen is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Andrew Koen.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Carney enables Koen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carney manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Carney pulls Koen in close to his closed guard and prevents Koen from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Carney might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Koen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carney with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Andrew Koen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Koen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Koen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Carney uses from the top position.

Koen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Koen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Carney's half guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Carney is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Koen pulls his head out easily.
Koen passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carney!

Carney is trying desperately to improve position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carney accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Andrew Koen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Carney's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
