Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Whales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Busta Rhymes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whales kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is AC/DC - Shoot To Thrill. Rhymes has chosen Winter Warz as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Whales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Busta Rhymes!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whales throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rhymes was covering up waiting for the punch and Whales finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Whales wants to control from the top but Rhymes keeps moving.
Rhymes tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rhymes has control of Whales's left arm, preventing Whales from doing any damage.
Whales tries to free his leg and advance position but Rhymes is retaining full guard.
Whales won't allow Rhymes to sweep him here.
Rhymes keeps trying to improve his position.
Whales controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whales stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rhymes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Whales changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rhymes tries to avoid it but Whales manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rhymes to the ground. Rhymes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Whales lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rhymes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rhymes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Rhymes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Whales won't be happy with that.
Rhymes throwing strikes but Whales manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Rhymes tries to buck Whales off but Whales is having none of it.

Whales tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rhymes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Whales somewhat.

Whales has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters circling - Whales throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Rhymes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Whales looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Whales is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Mugler Jiu Jitsu, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Rhymes lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Whales down.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Patrick Whales will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Patrick Whales.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Whales, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
