Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy South (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Fur Era (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommy South!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jackson Fur Era!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

South looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fur Era!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fur Era tries to buck South off but South is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Fur Era throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around South's waist but South gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fur Era off to one side.
South slaps away a takedown attempt from Fur Era, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fur Era has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
South tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fur Era was well out of range. Poor timing from South.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

South tries to roll over but Fur Era keeps him under control.

Fur Era uses his free foot to push down on South's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for South.

Fur Era is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but South is surviving well by controlling Fur Era's body position as best he can.
South tries to hold on but Fur Era pushes him away.
Fur Era fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fur Era won't let South get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
South trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Jackson Fur Era showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
