Matta kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Velociraptor by SUBSONICA. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matta throws a chopping leg kick but Bariga manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Bariga takes a jab right on the kisser.
An inside leg kick lands from Matta.
Bariga throws a body shot but no joy.
A telegraphed right hand from Bariga misses the target.
Bariga misses with an uppercut. Matta saw that one coming.
Enrico Matta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matta thows a left - swing and a miss!
Matta scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

A solid leg kick lands there for Matta.
Bariga takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bariga is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Matta.
Matta thuds a left hand into Bariga's body.
Bariga swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Matta bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bariga's head backwards.
Bariga avoids a punch combination nicely.
Matta has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Black Manta in the buildup to the fight.
Bariga connects with a nice looking jab.
Matta fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bariga.
Bariga misses with a wild body shot.
Matta scores with a hook to the body. Bariga takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Matta attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Bariga jabs Matta right on the nose. Matta blinks but takes it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Bariga throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Matta is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Mark Bariga was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
